Taste Test: Southern Hospitality

"While they’re famous for their brunch and southern comfort food, SoHo is doing their best to mix it up a little bit in the kitchen, with the help of their new chef, Leo Garcia, who previously worked at Proof and Red Hen. Even if you are all brunch all the time, I highly encourage you to stop by for at least an appetizer and a drink, because SoHo, and chef Garcia, really shine when it comes to the details."

"5 stars for the bartenders and staff!  Want to definitely come back for brunch and whatnot.  I'm not a big fan of AdMo but I would definitely come back for "SoHo" - Joanna M."

"The service has always been great, and the staff learns your name if you come more than a few times. The wine selection is good, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced.  Come with a relaxed attitude and just about any group of people and you'll love it!  My friend loved her eggs benedict with crab meat. Great job SoHo! - Maria B. "

"They have phenomenal food. Every single dish on the menu is outstanding, even the sandwiches and burgers. My personal favorite I think is the shrimp and grits. I also love the chicken dishes, the salmon, the steak salad... they have put their own spin on classic southern dishes and it works nicely. You just can't go wrong with the menu. The cocktails are absolutely delicious as well. - Jennifer P."

"Head up for HH, stay for dinner.  Everything about this place is amazing. The service, the atmosphere, the location, the food & the prices.  It boasts a huge outside patio, a wrap-around bar downstairs, bar upstairs and spacious seating throughout. They offer up an amazing southern menu that with shrimp & grits, and an asparagus & steak salad.  - Matt R."

"Finally!  I live in Adams Morgan and a year ago we finally got a grown-up restaurant/bar.  The food is good, the bartenders are friendly, fun, and knowledgeable (ask them to pick you a wine, and you won't be disappointed).  They have ball games on the big screen TVs, there's frequently a DJ on the weekends spinning fun dance music, and the game/late night food is good.  Entrees, salads, and specials are great too.  If you're looking for something better than the dive bars or creepy clubs in AM, this is your place.  Try the brunch on the weekends too! - L.O."
